What a terrific time that was had by all who attended our Literacy Night! A huge thank you to Toni from Waterford, teaching us several strategies to help our children/students develop better vocabulary and comprehension.

Thank you to Mrs. Heisler, Mrs. Finkbeiner, and Mrs. Poteet for planning fun ocean activities that went along with a picture book. Everyone had a great time!

Thank you to the families that were able to attend!

The Full Worm Moon reaches its peak on the morning of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 6:38 A.M. ET. This year’s March Moon is especially notable because it coincides with a total lunar eclipse. The eclipse reaches its greatest point at 6:33 A.M. ET—just minutes earlier—and during totality, the Moon can take on a coppery red or orange glow.

You don’t need any special equipment to enjoy this celestial pairing. Simply step outside and watch as the Full Moon changes color over several hours. For a detailed explanation of what’s happening in the sky, see our guide to what happens during a total lunar eclipse.

6th-grade parents: Please let the elementary office know only if you do not wish your son or daughter to participate in the
study. You may do this by contacting the school in writing at least two school days before the survey, requesting your child not participate. (For example, contact the school in writing by Wednesday for a survey
to be given on Friday.) ~Whitney Herrmann
