WHAT WILL SCHOOL AT AGRA LOOK LIKE THIS FALL? As you probably are aware, APS recently conducted Listening Sessions and surveys on June 9th and 11th. From the information gathered, we have put together a plan for the coming school year that we feel meets everyone’s needs. Like many school districts across the state, we will be offering three tracks. It is possible that your child will start in one track and then decide to move to another, and that is perfectly acceptable. THE THREE TRACTS Traditional Learning – Traditional learning received the majority of the votes on the surveys we received. It takes place at the physical school building starting at approximately 8am and ending at approximately 3:15pm. This track is for those who are ready for school to be back to normal. LUNCH WILL BE IN THE LUNCH ROOM, MASKS ARE UP TO THE PARENT OF THE CHILD, ELEMENTARY WILL STILL HAVE RECESS. Virtual/Home School Learning – Virtual/Homeschool learning takes place at home with no in person instruction. This track is for those who are concerned about sending their children back to the school building. Students will have certified teachers who will be at their disposal. Instruction is provided digitally. This doesn’t mean that all work is done on a device. There may still be pencil paperwork, but it will be submitted to the teacher through the device. BLENDED Virtual/Home School Learning – Blended Virtual/Homeschool learning takes place primarily at home but students come to the physical school building one or more hours per day – depending on a pre-set schedule approved by school administration. This track is for those who are wanting to limit their child’s time in the building due to health concerns or even to take advantage of the flexibility blended allows. Students will have certified teachers who will be at their disposal. Most instruction is provided digitally. This doesn’t mean that all at home work is done on a device. There may still be pencil paperwork, but it will OFTEN be submitted to the teacher through the device. MEETING: THOSE INTERESTED IN VIRTUAL/HOMESCHOOL AND/OR BLENDED ARE INVITED TO A COME AND GO Q & A ON JULY 14th AT THE NEW CAFETERIA STARTING AT 6:30 PM AND ENDING WHEN ALL QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!! Enrollment for the elementary will begin July 6th 9:00am – 2:00pm Monday – Thursday. If you need to schedule a different time to enroll your child please call Dr. Watkins at 918-375-2261 Ext 113. The Junior High and High School enrollment dates are being determined at this time. That information will be sent out the week of July 6th. We will be using the Robo Call & Text system, our website (agra.k12.ok.us), FACEBOOK, and, our APP. Regardless of which track you prefer, the date for the start of school is August 10 for teachers and August 13 for students. Our system is designed to be flexible and to meet EACH AND EVERY STUDENT’S NEEDS. All of us here at APS are highly motivated to serve each individual student. PLEASE EMAIL MR. KELLY AT email@example.com if you need anything at all.

Agra girls basketball team was hard at work again Wednesday at basketball camp. Beating Oilton by 14 and Olive by 12 gave the girls a huge confidence boost helping to prepare them for camp next week hosted by Stillwater.
The girls basketball team played summer ball in Oilton on Tuesday, June 4th. They destroyed Hominy, beating them by 13 points, then went on to beat MO by 4 and Pawnee by 4! Our girls are on FIRE!!
High School girls basketball team has been working hard this summer at various camps. Camp at Oilton was tough, but gave us a lot of play time. Lost to Olive by 1, Beggs by 2, beat Yale by 4. The girls will continue to grow stronger as they attend camp in Stillwater next week.
Boys basketball camp at Earlsboro was a GREAT success! The boys trained and competed with teams they do not usually play in their regular season schedule. The boys finished the camp with 8 wins and 1 loss. They are pumped and ready for the next camp at Cushing June 6th/7th.
